Final Mind Games

I was hoping Ashley would survive, before I parked my car I saw Derrick. He looked panicked, I was a bit relieved to see him. Going into the hospital praying for the best the doctor came out and spoke. Ashley tried to overdose herself but because her brain went so long without oxygen there were temporary complications. I’d never seen Derrick so committed to anything but his job. He stepped in helping where he could and even praying. He learned that day he needed his now ex wife more than money. That’s what I wanted them to see but not in this way. Maybe God needed my hurt, to show them this wasn’t the way to end. Once Ashley came to she say Derrick first, then the kids. I waited on the opposite side, I just wanted her to enjoy family first. When I approached her she began to cry and said she couldn’t believe she tried to hurt herself. I let her know that it’s sometimes the pain we try to escape. I came clean about my true intentions. I wanted her and Derrick to try and work things out because he was more protective than I was. This wasn’t their way to end. The both of them undevalued the love they had for each other because it was familiar. They needed troubled waters to rise so they’d see if it was really unconditional. We sometimes take advantage of whatever situation we’re in and think we have it bad, until reality sinks in. No matter what mess you think your love life is, don’t play mind games. Others would kill to be in your position. #MindGames #Love #RobinsonReview
