Open Heart Busy Mind

As I reflect on who I was and who I've become, I can say I'm grateful. Lessons that would take months or years are learned sooner. So, I thank God for wisdom. I wanted to share some advice I learned on my journey. If you don't know I have ADHD and it so hard to focus on one thing at a time (SOMETIMES). I'm leaning (not just learning) on healing that part of myself with discipline.

How this effects my day to day is manageable, HOWEVER in relationships it's important to date someone who is very understanding of your condition and intention.

What do I mean by that statement? When you are dating someone who knows your intentions the condition can usually be work around causing little to no conflict. When dating someone who is not familiar with ADHD the condition can come off as selfish or uninterested. When in fact that's not the case.

Why is this important? It is important to me that everyone around me feels important and seen but, sometimes thats not translated due to distractions or forgetfulness.

My heart can be seen as open but my mind is busy. So today I want to share this prayer with you or someone you know struggles with ADHD:

Dear God,

Thank you for this beautiful day you've blessed us to see. Thank you for constantly thinking of me. I pray that you quiet my mind on today. I pray that you remove all negative thoughts that will attempt to hinder me and my progress on today. I pray that I remain mindful, and still in your word. Your word says anything that I ask in my brother, your sons name it shall be given (John 16:24). All of which I ask for in Jesus name. I declare and decree this prayer will not fall on deaf ears. -Amen
