Even when you have {what you think is} every reason not to, breathe. Life has a funny way of making subtle yet instant stress.(Definition: verb) Take air into the lungs and then expel it, especially as a regular physiological process (according to Oxford Dictionary). Seems so hard to do at the moment, every time you look up there's a new political issue, kids, love life, work issue, bill in the mail or more unexpected run-ins. Its human instinct to breathe, but right now.. sheesh. So we run to our comfort place be it, food or a room we have to find a place/way to exhale. Your emotions are all over the place, you're scared, nervous, anxious and if one more person says one more thing .. B R E A T H E. If I can't stand on anything at all, I stand on Gods word:
2 Peter 1:2 "May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow into your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord."
Ephesians 6:10-12 "A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of Gods armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in the dark world, and against evil spirits in heavenly places"
This specific texts goes on and identifies the armor of God;
Matthew 7:7-8 "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who ask receives, Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."
Ask God for the shoes of peace in your life, especially those key places that are sensitive to your heart. His promise which is His word to those who choose/seek the Kingdom and seek his righteousness will be added to you.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love, mercy and grace. Thank you for the helmet of salvation, the belt of truth, the shoes of peace, body armor of your righteousness, the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit which is your word oh God. We will stay alert and persistent in our prayers. Thank you Father for the simple things, thank you for a mind that stays on you and constantly renewed daily. Thank you for drawing out those things in my heart and life that are not of you, not my will but your will oh God. Allow us to remember that your word says you will NEVER leave us nor forsake us. Forgive us for all known and unknown sins which we have committed my prayer is to turn from our wicked ways and draw closer to you. Cover us and keep us from all hurt harm and danger, may we not reject your word which is true. In the MIGHTY NAME of JESUS. It is so.
